May 18, Ms Nada Al-Nashif, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Society, Humanities and Science, visited Shaanxi Normal University, following the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations in Beijing.

In the meeting I presented to her my project ” The Song Of the Birds” which is a selection of 4 poems in Nahuatl, indigenous language from Mexico from the Author Juan Hernández Ramírez, Nahua poet from the community of Colatlán in the municipality of Ixhuatlán de Madero, Veracruz, Mexico.

The project includes the transcreation of the poetry to Chinese, using calligraphy in regular script style 楷书

Thank you so much for the opportunity, I hope that Mexican Indigenous languages will be more protected in the future.
