About this painting

I was commissioned to create a work that represents emergence and new beginnings, celebrating the clients’ move into their new home. As I was painting, I could see a narrative beginning to reveal itself, with many characters appearing within the piece, speaking to one another among the textures and forms. Through those conversations that the composition brought to life, I could see a story unfolding, something full of life and movement, with the brushstrokes, shades and light revealing a realm of magic and the unseen.
